"The status monitor is showing 0% toner life left but I’m sure I can still get some pages out. What can I do?”
“I just want to print black and white copies but the printer is telling me to replace color toner and will not let me print, help!”
Enabling the “non-Dell toner” setting can generally solve the aforementioned issues temporarily. Normally the below window will pop up and tell you how much toner life left for each color unit –
1. Go to the Setup Menu
2. Select Admin/Configure
3. Select Maintenance
4. Select Non-Dell Toner
5. Select left or right to switch the setting to On, press enter
6. Turn off the printer for couple minutes then turn it back on
